Gregor Hohmann

Founder & CEO

As a kid I started my computer career learning 10 finger typing on a 286 PC with a monochromatic (amber!) monitor. While actually being more a kid of nature I’ve always dreamt of building my own supercomputer in my parents' garage.

I still enjoy 10 finger typing, on more powerful devices than I could ever imagine back then - current smartphones are about 100-times faster than Cray Supercomputers (who remembers? ;) ) from the 90s!

On a typical day I am balancing family life and running a business. This only works when you mix structure and flexibility and have great people around you. For me some things are optional while some are not. Enjoying meals together (family, friends and business) and going out for a run is not negotiable!

After finishing school I studied engineering mixed with computer science and finance - which actually comes in handy at least from time to time being the CEO of your own software company.

I started my working career at a technology consulting company that taught me the value of having lean processes, working methodologically and having a great team. And I was lucky enough to have Max, Galactify’s Co-Founder on one of the most difficult projects there - where we discovered our joint humor and complementary working style.

After having failed with my first startup “Equalrides” that I had founded out of my passion for urban cycling, Max told me about the idea of Galactify - and I was immediately hooked!

Fast forward some years: We are running a profitable and growing business, having great processes in place (of course still improving them) and working together with the best people.

In some regards I am just a big kid now - I still need to try the newest and coolest devices. My 4 year old son already finds it strange, when I don't wear sunglasses that can take videos of our bike rides...

Max Rieger

Founder & CTO

Max holds a diploma in mechatronics and IT from TU Munich. He discovered his passion for programming early on while creating private websites and therefore, after his study, started a career as a fullstack developer.

Since then Max has been working in various industries as a fullstack developer and led developing teams. At Galactify he is responsible for all tasks concerning the core system.

Max loves to play music with his rock band. He is very creative and sometimes feels a little nerdy.
